The Zircon, created in an attempt to address the shortcomings of the Garnet, failed to gain any significant popularity, just like its predecessor, much to the disappointment of its engineers and designers.

Nevertheless, the work put into it eventually helped advance a series of specialized equipment and secure the funding needed to develop a new series—the Artifact Hunters.
