Many stalkers still believe that the uniqueness of Lemna lies in a successful attempt to create an artifact under laboratory conditions; however, this is nothing more than a tale spread by an enterprising trader to devalue the artifact.

In reality, Lemna is intriguing for a more astonishing reason. Microscopy of the artifact conducted by Koyushev's group revealed unusual silicon formations whose structure resembles a primitive lipid layer.
