The Comet is one of those artifacts that creates a false first impression. Its semi-transparent polymer extension is often mistaken by everymen for a spark.

The most interesting aspect of the Comet is its composite structure. Experiments revealed that when the branched base and the polymer extension are separated, the artifact not only begins to quickly lose its properties, but also rapidly deforms into an amorphous mass of plastic with metal inclusions.
